I have been working at Vans full-time (more than 5 years)

Very Relaxed environment, very family orientated, lots of history and traditions with this company. Great discount. Hard work is recognized most of the time.

Not easy to move up in this company, Lots of store drama no matter what store, One of lowest paying retailers to there employee's, Most Assistant managers are paid what entry level part managers are paid from other companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Very low payroll to manage store with expectations that are required to met, this is for all stores in the company, Mirco managing from district managers to Assistant and store managers is on the daily.
Two big seasons of the year, back to school and christmas holiday. Very hard work/Life balance for full time employee's in some of major volume outlets. Raise once a year and there is lot that can decrease your raise throughout the year.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
