I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Decent base pay
    Great training
50% discount on your wireless bill
    Working with the latest technology

    Cons

    Quotas are very inflated
Commission structure keeps changing to benefit the company
If your in a retail environment expect to be constantly yelled at by customers
Promoting based on "friends" and not on performance
Over the last few years Verizon has moved from being a company that cares about the customer to a company that only cares about the bottom line and will do anything to get the money.
There is a huge disconnect between the store and local management and senior management.
A lot of night and weekend hours in the retail setting

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to being about the customer and not your paycheck. Promote based on performance and look into lower management to make sure they are doing the same.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
