    I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Great benefits and great coworkers

    Cons

    The advancement opportunities only come around once every few years so you are stuck on the phones, which is highly stressful bc your statistics are based on customer surveys. So if a customer is mad at the company and not you...they fail the survey which fails you. There is no exception to these. Most people who work there have degrees and are not compensated for their education. Everyone starts the same base pay regardless if educated or HS diploma.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay based on experience and education. Re evaluate your metrics by which you grade employees bc you are losing hard working, dedicated employees, who would other wise make this a career. You are also making a name for yourself in local communities as being a terrible place to work. It's not good for your business. Provide time daily for employees to de-stress, as this field is known for it's stress. This will help your employee retention and lower your training expenses.
