Former Employee - Retail Sales Representative in Warwick, RI
Former Employee - Retail Sales Representative in Warwick, RI

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, great compensation, Great to OK management depending on store, Good co-workers

    Cons

Unrealistic sales expectations,( $120 of accessories per every device sold is shoved down your throat and when you're below $80/device you're subject to warnings/reprimand. Selling a little old lady $120 worth of accessories she doesn't need for an emergency flip phone is a little overboard. ) Micro-management, Uncomfortable environment due to per-sale requirements. Retail hours, constant overtime

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management in the store have to meet goals just like the reps, so advice would really be to corporate leaders, get back to focusing on the customer while being successful vs. implementing unrealistic sales goals on stores which in return frustrates both employees and customers

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
