I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 8 years)

Great benefits. Very inclusive corporate culture that rewards hard workers. Plenty of training and resources available to employees. A wide array of career opportunities open to just about anyone who wants to explore their potential in the retail, business, and government sectors. Verizon is an innovative, always evolving technology company that sets a solid foundation for employees of any background and skill level.

The company's zeal and credo for change sometimes alienates workers who don't conform quickly to new policies and sudden/over-night adjustments. There is a hard line in the "sink or swim" philosophy. There is no such thing as seniority (which may be a good or bad thing for some people) and seasoned, veteran employees have been known to be demoted or shown the door if target objectives were not met.
