I worked at Vermont Information Processing full-time (more than 3 years)

A lot of hardworking people. Willingness to train. No college education or relevant experience required. On-site and affordable childcare. You can screw up pretty hard and not get fired.

While there are a lot of hardworking people, the people who don't perform stand out and still get to stay. Seniority and connections take precedence over anything else. Management doesn't care about anybody at the company for less than ten years. Must bring your own stationary because none is supplied. Hours quoted to customers for jobs are wildly inaccurate, as teams report what management wants to hear rather than what is actually done. Salary is wildly unbalanced between junior and senior members of teams.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that just because the numbers don't agree with what you did fifteen years ago, times and technology have changed and the job is much different.
