    Pros

One of the major pros to working with Vestas in the US is that their compensation (base pay and benefits) are very good. They are a young organization in the US and afford an opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

While the compensation is good, it may be too good. They often hire people in at levels significantly above their capabilities because they do not know how to find the right talent for the organization. Additionally, there are few people in the salaried ranks who have worked for this type of large scale manufacturing and that can be a draw back for factory start-up especially when they need to mature organizationally very quickly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Complete a real strategic organizational assessment of the business and make sure that the plans you implement help hire the right people, put appropriate development programs in place, and assure the employee that they can maintain a work life balance that is both challenging and rewarding.
