I worked at WageWorks full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Overall the management team is great, there really is an active open door system. The employee base is awesome; the management has worked hard to screen for positive personalities that are team players. Great remote work options if you get sick or there is some sort of event that keeps you from going to the office (weather, temporary road closures, etc ...). The company has huge growth potential due to its industry position and competitor acquisition policy.

    Cons

Where as the company makes huge strides to hire positive personalities; it ends up buying bad employees due to its competitor acquisition policy. The company has proprietary systems and documentation is not readily available. Work loads and composition of the work loads were totally out of balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Screen for the toxic personalities that you acquire and address those behaviors. Move to off the shelf technology, or document the proprietary systems adequately to increase productivity; lost productivity due to no documentation is a problem. Look more closely at how work is distributed; canned work vs custom work distribution is a problem. Pay attention to deadlines, 2-4 week work outlays don't work if the deadline is less than a week after assignment.
