Being in pharmacy is better than being on the floor, but you're still treated like garbage

    Pros

You get a measly 10% discount and you get benefits if you work full time. Working in pharmacy gave me some perks, like having a stool to sit on and not being micromanaged by the store managers...

    Cons

Nobody treats you like a person. Nobody does. Not management, not customers. The discount is minimal, the benefits are horrible (working in pharmacy, I know that 80% coverage with a $40 deductible is an insult) and the morale is so, so low. It's such a corporate hellscape that nobody cares if another employee or your manager is incompetent, they'll just send you from the store manager to personnel to the people manager over and over and nothing will ever get done. They overwork you like nothing else and you're yelled at for not getting your work done and yelled at for having 5 minutes of overtime. Training is minimal and most of it is spent watching completely ineffectual CBLs. Pay raises are a joke and "performance dependent" but managers will keep telling you they "aren't allowed" to give more than a 3 or 4 out of 5, regardless of how hard you work. Walmart has a bad name for a reason. Believe it. Please don't work here. You're better than Walmart.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like people. Implement real training. Pay a decent living wage because it's completely pathetic how much money Walmart makes while paying their employees so little. I am sick of having to listen to all my coworkers talk about how they can't make ends meet.
