I have been working at Walgreens full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Manager salary and benefits are what keep most motivated to stay with the company. Scheduling can be flexible depending on the store mgr or assistant mgr that makes the schedule. Also, holiday pay is a plus as well.

    Cons

Stores are open 365 days a year. Severe weather, holidays, under staffed, it doesn't matter. Also, the employees lack positive mental attitude and motivation to consistently execute daily duties. This a direct effect of managements ability to motivate employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leadership needs to create ways to combat employees lack of motivation, stress, and feelings of being overworked. Salaried employees have the biggest stake and responsibility for the success of the stores because they must execute company goals and initiatives. Stress levels for execution are very high.
