You get a great relationship with your customers if you're mainly on the front register. Friendly coworkers, good relationship between the floor and pharmacy. Knowledge about new products. I learned a ton about medicine. Employee discount is pretty nice too. 15% on name brand, 20% on store brand.

The pay sucks. You work so hard and do an amazing job for minimum wage. The store manager could care less about you. They won't take time to teach how to do important things within the company. You won't have any flexibility in your schedule. If you go to school, forget about it. They will barely work with you. They will make it to where you have no time to get any of your work done and you start failing classes. Walgreens sucks you in, and controls your life.

    Advice to Management

Become better leaders. Properly train your employees better. Look at your employees needs first. We are your back bone.
