I have been working at Walgreens full-time (more than 5 years)

I like my job as HPS, my store and customers, and my coworkers. Insurance is good

I think the corporation could show a little more appreciation for the work we do by at least paying enough to live on. I have been with the company for five years and it seems like the past two years have gone from bad to worse as far as appreciation and incentives. They want you to do a dog and pony show with greetings, good-byes, suggestive sells, phone answering, etc. Something is always changing for "the better" and tasks are always being added to your work list while hours go down. I used to be happy making a little less for going to a job I truly enjoyed, but now I can't even make ends meet. When I asked if Walgreens ever gave across the board raises for increases in cost of living expenses, I was pretty much laughed at.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be adjustments made to the pay scale. It would also be nice to know you are appreciated. Without us little peons your stores wouldn't run. I would like to challenge some of the real upper corporate management to come work one hectic day in our shoes and see what it is like. Maybe next time you wouldn't be so fast to condemn us for not getting enough work completed.
