I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

Co-workers were great, local management was positive, overall it was an enjoyable place to work.

Upper management is completely clueless on how to run stores on a local level, and on site managers have little power to make changes. Any decision on store policy had to be handed up the chain of command, it would make store manager, then disappear once it went off to corporate offices. Replies were sparse and unsatisfying.

    Advice to Management

Fire everybody above store manager. They have no idea what needs to be done on the ground, their policies are slowly killing the entire company through burnouts and inefficient merchandise handling.
