I worked at Washington Humane Society full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Love of animals. Personal growth and survival to survive in negative situations. Working here prepares one to work in all manner of future environments.

    Cons

Cons included the limited resources, no training for employees, poor physical environments, lack of support from upper management. The culture was poor and established as such.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat all facilities and individuals equally. Stop ignoring the realities outside of the Georgetown offices. Set standards across the board. Reward good work and remove the (numerous) rotten apples.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
