I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Wells Fargo is a very down to earth atmosphere. Everyone including upper leadership, is on a first name basis. Wells Fargo is a great place to really understand what sales truly is. It is a real battleground that gives you experience you more than likely have never had. Wells Fargo has a process to the sales road map and are good at making sure you understand it. There is also lots of great opportunity for advancement and relocation since it is a bank that's always on the grow.

    Cons

Wells Fargo is not for individuals who are not sales oriented. No matter what position you take on in a retail branch, you're a salesman. Wells Fargo has strict expectations for maintaining metrics of threshold standard and above. If you've worked for smaller banks and or Credit Unions, this is nothing like it. The two largest issues I have are the commission pay out, that it's around 3,000 per quarter, and that's if you're a top performer, and that there is an astronomical turn over rate across the board from DM's to tellers.

Wells Fargo does a poor job of taking care of it's employees. Health insurance is expensive and stress is high. In the Wachovia days, a Financial Rep could make six figures if he/she was a top performer. Those days are gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Either raise the base pay or raise the bonus pay out. Make me want that money.
