I worked at Wesco part-time (More than 3 years)
Wesco values its employees! They provide good benefits, a tuition reimbursement program and many competitions and performance incentives for their stores. I was impressed by the three-interview process before being hired, and the extensive training I received. My manager was fantastic; I worked as a summer employee, but she always gave me great hours during my time home and any school breaks.
The biggest con of working at Wesco is the effect of the Obamacare regulations. Due to the requirement that employees working more than 30 hours must receive healthcare and full benefits, many stores are only hiring new employees on a part-time, 28 hr/week basis. This creates problems for potential employees looking for a full-time job.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work! I loved the regional store competitions, the Wesco rewards system, and those crazy promo shirts!
