I have been working at Western Express full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The only reason I stay is because of my DM she is fantastic . The safety Department is top notch too

    Cons

Sliding pay scale , BREAK DOWN department leaves you on hold for forever and try's to make you run illegal "thank god for safety" , driver trainers are only in it for the money and don't have any experience them selfs there min requirement has just been upped from 3mo to 6mo " just recovered a load from driver who didn't know about weight limits and how they work " short home time , don't give a crap attitude from other drivers about leaving trailers with DOT VIOLATIONs "average broken trlr 3-4 a week always carry spare parts and hopefully it's just a light " you are a target for DOT and bully drivers this company is not just at the bottom of the barrel it's the sludge . I can keep going but I encourage you to see for your self !

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep better track of your trlrs and who hauls them and CHARGE them for not reporting problems . Have a actual driver training corse and actually train them and not just stick them with your so called trainers who have no experience them selfs and who are only in it for the money and who might actually care what these students know before sending them solo . Really offer detention pay ! Offer your decent drivers a reason to stay and get rid of the so many crappy ones you have
