    I worked at Wexford Health Sources full-time for more than 3 years


    As a nurse I strove to give the best care possible. Wexford made it very difficult to provide that care. Oops, that's not really a pro, I can't think of a pro


    I would not recommend Wexford to any nurse looking for a job. Here are some reasons why:
    1. They do not abide by Maryland marital law: in 2013 my partner and I were legally married in Maryland; they would NOT extend insurance benefits to my spouse; effectively violating Maryland law.
    2. In 2013, they would deny PTO time but then pay my PTO out, effectively keeping my PTO accruals at a minimum and not allowing vacation time.
    3. When asking for PTO time, management has never given approval or denials in writing prior to the schedule coming out. By the time the schedule is posted it is to late to change vacation plans without losing money.
    4. A full time nurse asked to go part time, when her status changed they stripped her PTO accruals from her bank. After fighting to get her PTO accruals returned to her, only 1/2 of her accruals at were returned.
    5. A nurse was hired PT, within 1st week of employment her status was changed to FT, 2 months later she was not receiving FT benefits.
    6. There are so many other examples of how Wexford does not respect their employees, too many to list.

    Raise the Standard and respect your employees.
