I worked at Weyerhaeuser full-time (More than 10 years)

Pay and benefits are pretty standard but company no longer offers pension to new hires. Very safety conscious. Brand name is respected in lumber and OSB. Good at growing saw timber.

During my career I saw Weyco go from an honorable company with outstanding leadership, values and culture to a snakepit that would make Chainsaw Al proud. The new norm is managers are expected by their gutless bosses to show how tough they are by firing people. HR used to make sure employees were treated fairly and consistently but now they lead the fire 'em all bandwagon. Management is clueless about strategy and blindly follows consultants from one convoluted plan to the next. Worse yet, they never pay a price for their epic failures, like iLevel and SAP......that honor goes to the workers in the mills and branches who lose their jobs because of these pathetic putzes. Won't be long and they'll jettison CF, TJ, OSB and Distribution, and more good people will be looking for work. But as long as the SMT continues to pocket boatloads of stock options and outrageous bonuses, who gives a crap, right?

    Advice to Management

Your army of overpaid yes men and consultants won't tell you this, but you really, truly and sincerely suck.
