I worked at Wiley full-time (more than 10 years)

Caring, passionate co-workers who strive everyday to be the best they can be. Decent severance package. Lovely office space.

Low pay scale. Management is always changing course mid stream and management is too reliant upon consultants who really don't understand the culture of publishing. More than half the staff in my location have been laid off. General feeling is that management doesn't care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The path you are taking the company on isn't well thought out. You keep laying off talented colleagues, even though the work load is increasing. Outsourcing design, composition, and IT to India is detrimental to long-term growth. The daily atmosphere is one of gloom and doom.
