Heavy workload ( overall store operations plus painting, floor moves etc.)without any payroll, company culture is no longer- Howard Lester legacy doesn't live on anymore and chuck Williams who is still alive is never mentioned. They have a lot of employees who have been with the company for years but doesn't promote within most of the time. Demanding metrics but doesn't support you with payroll, and product you need to sell to the customer. Most of the day is spent attending conference calls, sending back emails to the District manager, visual updates sent every other day, and cold calling to get in home apts , world class customer service is a thing of the past!
Advice to Management
Get back to basics, update systems - store support is a joke, inspire and train the associates you have to promote within, listen to your managers in the store for feedback for a change. Stop all the busy work at night by having the managers fill out pages of information to fax over to them when they see all the same numbers in the morning.
