I have been working at Wilton Brands full-time for more than 5 years

The company strives for growth through acquisitions. New CEO seems like a nice guy, seems engaging. Every few weeks you hear about someone else being promoted to a manager of something, however this makes for a top heavy organization.
Summer Hours, Wilton lets employees go home at 1pm on Friday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. You are suppose to make these hours up during the week but few if any actually do.

The company is not structured to absorb the acquisitions, they rely on the current staff to do their normal jobs and devote the time and effort needed to assimilate the acquired company. Few are rewarded for their contributions to these acquisitions. Many timelines are Unrealistic, in some cases they calculated the the length of the project by telling you when the next project will start, so no input from the people working the project was considered. Many people are fed up and can spot the iceberg in the distance and have decided to abandon ship before the crash, unfortunately this means they are leaving people that are already overworked and stressed taking on more responsibilities.

Many managers cave to the squeaky wheel, which always giving even more work to the people that actually accomplish their projects.

Wilton's starting pay is ok, but annual raises are between 2.5% an and 3.5%. Considering one does more than 3.5% more work each year, it seems they could loosen the purse strings for those that earn it.

Depending on where you are sitting some of the cubicles are small and old and dirty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If management asks the right questions, they would get the right answers. The people supporting this company know a lot, and they are in many cases ignored because it does not support the full steam ahead strategy the company is set on.
