I worked at Window World full-time for more than a year

Freedom as a salesman was terrific. Did a few in-home appointments daily usually from March to late November. Was not a tough product to sell. Window World Is very competitive in their pricing. Got very busy towards the end of the selling season and then was the time to make the money. Often many call backs after the initial appointment were common.

Working only 8 months out of the year and myself usually being the top salesman I was disappointed in the amount of income I derived by the end of the year. I ended up at approx. $28,000 minus my expenses which were in the area of about $6,000. This included gas, car repairs and mis measuring of windows which unfortunately was my own fault. I would still recommended this entertaining position to anyone who has some showmanship abilities, who does'nt mind driving around 50 - 75 miles a day and can get by on the income I have described. This is also a 1099 position so watch your taxes. You will also need to be lead paint certified by the Federal Government at a cost of about $150.00. This is done locally and only takes a 1 day class to complete.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management knows what they are doing but as all sales organizations that I have worked in the past they tend to exaggerate the income you should receive. Perhaps adding a couple more home improvement products would help with generating additional income for the stores and sales people.
