I worked at Windstream (More than 5 years)
Work environment was comfortable, my location was convenient, pay and benefits were in line with industry and geographical norms, coworkers were smart, hard working and dedicated. Overall, Windstream is a good place to work
Difficult (at that time) to obtain resources necessary to get the job done right in the required time frames. My particular management team (my bosses) were not supportive of my department's efforts making the job much more difficult than it had to be and damaging employee morale.
Advice to Management
Get a handle on internal politics and political maneuvering. Reward workers for what they do and not so much on who they're tight with. Important: The company has installed new executive management since my departure and hopefully they're addressing some of the more problematic areas.
