Current Employee - Center Store Lead in Jacksonville, FL

I have been working at Winn-Dixie full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good first job to get a taste of the real world and develop new found skills later on.
Management is nice and appreciate the hard effort put into the job.
    Flexible-hours.
    Pay is acceptable "at first".

    Cons

Lack of labor hours assigned to the store.
Lack of pay raises for hard full-time workers.
Lack of benefits for part time works.
Job positions have been decommissioned resulting in fewer job opportunities in order for corporate to maximize their profit.
Impractical expectations from corporate level employees.
Overall technology in the stores is a decade behind with the times; slow and inefficient.
Corporate points fingers and refuses to take responsibility for their idiotic and selfish actions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to pocket more money punishing your retail employees by limiting hours and opportunities is not the way!
How do you expect your employees to deliver customer satisfaction if they're are treated so inappropriately?!
Location is everything! Store A might be more busy or in a better neighborhood than Store B. They are totally different in how they function!
Corporate sets the standard and we follow the rules, if there is a problem they are to blame! Not your employees!
