I worked at Winston & Strawn full-time (more than a year)

Partners are not as nasty as partners at other large San Francisco law firms. The support staff and paralegals are quite good. There is a sort of collegiality among the partners. And the partners are generally quite talented

Not a very powerful office relative to other Winston partners. What this means, practically speaking, is that your conflicts get barred, and you get no associate support from other offices. Basically, Chicago doesn't really care about San Francisco. Also, the training given to junior lawyers isn't all that great. I found them to be unreliable and often unable to complete correctly even the simplest drafting assignment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be so selfish. You are, indeed, cutting off your nose to spite your face. (Sadly, you'll never read this.)
