I worked at Wolters Kluwer full-time (more than 10 years)

Developers and designers are great people, hard working, and innovative. Compensation is okay (average or below average), however, the benefits and PTO are GREAT! Casual and flexible work environment.

Middle managers are horrible, brown-nosers, and not very knowledgeable or good at their jobs. They like to blame others when releases go wrong so they can continue to keep their jobs. Top management is volatile with turnovers every few years that cost a lot of the actual workers their jobs with frequent layoffs. Too many constraints and business requirements that are not user focused and lack innovation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    It's about the user, stupid.
