Former Employee - Intern in Washington, DC

I worked at World Learning as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

    - It pays (up to $1,500 a month before tax)
    - You get to work with various teams

    Cons

    - There is a lot of work to do but it's mostly boring work like assembling folders and booking travel
    - Depending on which team you're working with, you'll either have people who are interested in helping you learn or others who are just looking for a workhorse to take care of the boring parts of their jobs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The problems could be fixed easily by creating a tiered system that allows interns to work on progressively more challenging tasks.
