I worked at World Resources Institute full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

mission driven org, chances to work on different projects and interact with colleagues with diverse backgrounds
good benefits including paid time off and healthcare coverage. etc. a place you can do something influential and make real impacts if you have the expertises and the will/ambition

    Cons

WRI is still maturing and I would say the Hr doesn't funtion as it suppose to be. it's a bit messy within the org when it comes to responsiblity assignment, performance based valuation on lower level. more senior level management is fine

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

lack of professional training and doesn't have good mentorship system. the HR and the accounting department work independently and separately in fields/ occasions that collaborations are necessary.
lack of real expertise capacity in junior level to back up policy and research work

    Recommends
