The work hours are normal, you get enough time to maintain work life balance.
It provides you a platform where you can experiment and learn on your own, but the job doesn't provide much learning and becomes boring after sometime.

There is communication gap between teams. It is very difficult to try out new ideas or work creatively if your manager is opposed to it. People join the company thinking they would get ample opportunity to learn the business side of things but access controls have become more restrictive in last few years and it does require implicit manager acknowledgement/permissioning for everything you do.
