    Pros

    Decent training program for new employees, both computer based and in the field. Tools made available for sales staff to use for prospecting and maintaining customer data. Base salary is average. For managers at the branch level and the region staff additional commissions and bonus available. Healthcare benefits and paid time off.

    Cons

    More than 10 branches closed over the past few years, including all in Canada. Just over 50 branches remain. (None in the state of New York, hasn't been for some time) Pay raises only given to employees who have been with the company for many years. If at a branch or operation manager level, only room for advancement would be for a larger branch to have a manager position open and then be chosen for that branch. Operation assistants and assistant sales reps only have opportunity to move into a manager position if/when a position becomes open. Long term success depends on the region staff and area managers, goals are the same across the board for all branches no matter location or business make up. At will employer, if goals are not met on any side, sales or operations, people are let go. This is not a growing/expanding company, corporate made branch cuts to keep the company profitable to meet Berkshire Hathaway's requirement on rate of return.

    Advice to Management

    Honestly portray the company to prospective employees, advancement can happen, however it is rare and may take years to happen.
