I have been working at Xerox full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Top shelf co-workers, I have the pleasure of working everyday with some of the brightest, hardest-working, kindest people. It is also nice to have the flexibility to work remote. Theoretically there is a lot of opportunity for growth. Even though this is a very large company, after acquiring ACS, there have been many re-orgs, and a lot of employee turn over. In many of the lines of business there is not much policy, process or procedure in place - great opportunity for someone to come in and build a business from scratch.

    Cons

People are treated very poorly. Not only are there no raises and no bonuses, but every 6 months there is a mandatory furlough week (2 weeks of unpaid time off when they choose, per year), and constant RIF's - to the point that most people are always looking for another job. Also, in states that allow it, they enforce use or lose vacation time, so every January 1 you have zero vacation days, regardless if you didn't get to take time off the prior year. Most managers are nice, however if you are an unlucky person (such as myself) who has an abusive boss, nothing will be done about it. Xerox does not have a culture of nurturing, or mentoring employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and realize that if you don't start treating employees and customers better, there won't be a company to run.
