    Pros

-The cause is AMAZING! The clients are inspiring and life changing!
-The services provided to consumers and families is top-notch.
-Most of the employees are dedicated and forward thinking.
-The organization is progressive and a leader in the industry.
-Frequent opportunities to get more involved with the organization in various ways.
-A lot of support if you have any ideas for improving services to clients or experience of employees.
-A lot of vacation, sick and holiday time is given and management is very flexible when you need time off or to leave last minute.
-Great initial and on-going training for employees.
    -Free health insurance.

    Cons

-Not only are DSPs and CTSs not adequately compensated to begin with (even by non-profit standards) but they are not given raises. There are sporadic "bonuses" but you never know when or if you'll get one. Sometimes they take out taxes sometimes they don't. If they don't, once tax season comes around you could owe hundreds of dollars to the government and when you make so little in NYC to begin with you don't have a few hundred to spare.
-Don't expect to get a formal review and then certain percentage raise.
-Sometimes employees are offered temporary or per diem opportunities to make a little more money in the form of stipends. If you opt to perform the jobs for this minor stipend be prepared to chase management, sometimes for months, to get the stipend. Also, some stipends are not given until your anniversary date, if you're still there.
-And sometimes you're just not paid the money they promised at all. Some advice...get EVERYTHING IN WRITING!
    -Virtually NO advancement.
