    I have been working at YP full-time for more than 3 years


    Upper management is so self-absorbed and petty that they don't take enough time away from their own self-absorption long enough to even notice the ship is sinking. There is no accountability for anything.


    The socio-racial politics are quite horrific in the Glendale office. You won't find many African Americans or Latinos outside of customer service or HR, as if there's an unspoken caste system of the races here. The Technology organization actively discriminates against employees of non-Asian descent, in both hiring and promotion. You would only have to tally the resumes of those interviewed or hired to prove it -- and it's beyond belief how the HR department could not be aware of it. If you don't have an "Asian sounding" name when applying to many positions, forget it. It's shameful, even more so for a company based in Southern California.

    There are also very few gays and lesbians that work here, and it ought to be a clue about how backward this company still is. It's like the 1950s in some respects. It's not a gay-friendly workplace. The company does not acknowledge "gay-friendly" as a business attribute on the website or in their apps. If you're gay, it's important to know if a business makes the effort to express their openness. Gays have the right to know what businesses are accepting. This company just doesn't care.

    The Technology VPs and Senior VPs are horribly unprofessional and elitist, and very few have any original ideas or genuine concerns for anything other than trying to get themselves a raise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Clean house in the Technology organization, from the CTO to the VPs. The management style is extremely passive-aggressive and unprofessional. It's unbelievable there haven't been more lawsuits for discrimination and harassment.
