    I have been working at Yamaha America full-time (more than 10 years)


    Too many to name. Primarily - the people here are awesome. Very genuine. Identifiable brand, which makes what we do identifiable to the impact we are having in the music industry. Sr. Management wants to hear from the employees and will always take the time to explain directives or decisions to encourage employee understanding. Communication from top down is excellent (monthly president's message, quarterly all-employee meetings, annual meeting for all employees). Culture here is very much like the Japanese culture: patient, respectful, achievement driven, high quality, paternal with employees. Great benefit package and bonus opportunity for All employees annually. Company supports work/life balance where everyone isn't working 60+ hours per week. Company favors internal movement within company.


    Long tenure employees, which can cause career progression to be slower. Parent company is Yamaha Japan, so sometimes changes to certain things are slower or non-existent. Lack of flexible work environment/hours.
