On the secular side, colleagues with experience provide insight and mentoring to less experienced colleagues. Also, the students are good-natured and well-behaved for the most part; there are few outrageous discipline problems.
Several downsides to consider for teachers of secular subjects: resources and outside materials are limited and censored; rabbinical staff (and students) devalue your contributions; salaries are low, and despite shortened weekly schedules, there is a lot of work to be done.
Advice to Management
Management does a decent job navigating the day-to-day, but they need to be more clear about their vision for the school, otherwise, everyone is moving in his/ her own direction with no understanding of how it contributes to or detracts from the vision of the school as a whole.
