    I have been working at Young & Rubicam full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    I was hired straight from school as a junior art director. In just a year and a half I was promoted to mid level art director. I have also seen many of my co workers given raises and promotions.This definitely encourages the employees to work hard, because if you do, it will pay off. As a creative, I've noticed that your experience at an ad agency can be heavily weighed on the creative director that you work for. The pros for my creative director is that she is extremely talented and in the couple of years that I have been here, I have seen my work improve tremendously based on her feedback and comments. Work culture is also a big plus for me. I like a casual work environment and that is exactly what you get here. We have office parties and celebrations on a regular basis and everyone is genuinely friendly and nice. The office is amazing as well!

    Cons

    The cons, I believe go hand and hand with the team that you are on. As a company, I cannot think of any cons but for my team specifically, I think that our time could be managed better. There have been many times where my team has stayed late just waiting on the creative director to finish meetings/phone calls etc. But again, every team is different and has a different experience. I also have never received any kind of review or evaluation in two years, which I think is odd.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    schedule a yearly meeting with your employees to make sure everyone is happy.
