Commission can be very good for amount of work.
Flexible schedule is great for family time.
Many products are superior to the competitorsCons
Difficult to find information for "unusual" sales.
Marketing tokens, mileage, prepaid shipping all come 100% from sales rep's commission.
Products have a high sales cost, compared to other companies.
Shipping costs to customers are high.
Outside sales reps compete with competitors, Zep's other brands in Home Depot/Lowes, etc., inside sales reps, other outside sales reps.
Must generate all of own leads. No way to know if a customer is buying Zep, unless you contact them directly. Often wastes time.
National contracts are not updated on Intranet system.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Improve intranet system. Communicate and email sales promos through that in a single file type. Updated information, national contracts, sales promos, etc. in a single place and similar format would improve communications with outside sales reps.Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo opinion of CEO
