    I have been working at hawkeye full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    They lost a lot of good personnel recently especially in the software development area due to conflicts with either the accounts services people or with management. They have a small software development group so you get a chance to work on different applications and dabble on the latest technology. Good telecommute options. Salary is very competitive for a small company. Medical and health benefit is about average. They do have a nice recreation area with free snacks and drinks.

    Cons

    Work life balance has declined recently due to lack of resources. Management doesn't seem to care so much about employees. There's very little room for growth. Ones you've peaked a certain position you are pretty much stuck. Education and training benefits are not very good. Employee turn over has risen recently due to poor management decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Management should do something about employee retention especially keeping the good ones since it is hard to find good people to work in Kent area. They need to cultivate and focus on employee growth and invest more on training and education. Also replace key personnel especially in software development to avoid stressing out software engineers and QA people. Otherwise they will continue to experience high turn overs. They need to restore the good work life balance. Happy employees perform better and are more productive than stressed out ones and are more likely to stay.
