    I worked at hhgregg full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Management experience for resume for future employment

    Cons

    No work life balance.
    Terrible upper management that continues to implement new policies of failing businesses. Most executives are from Sears
    Continue to change from a company that wants to help consumers, to a company that only wants to sell high profitability items to consumers that many do not need or want
    Bonus structure is nearly unobtainable.
    Associates are made to attempt to sell bedding to every customer even if they do not have the slightest interest in the product.
    Consumer warranties do not cover many issues that arise in normal usage of product leaving managers to fend for themselves to satisfy consumers with solutions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    If you want to have a company that has the most knowledgeable associates, then you should really consider increasing the investment in training. The company had more values, until the only thing that mattered was the stock price. If more of an investment was made in developing the people, the stock price would take care of itself.
