    Position Summary:

    WBD Group is expanding and currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Structural Engineer to join their Structural/Civil Engineering Consultancy in London. You will have the opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge and skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop design solutions for temporary and permanent structures.
    • Utilize engineering principles and industry best practices to produce high-quality and efficient designs that meet project requirements.
    • Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
    • Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Attend project sites to gather essential data and assess structural conditions.
    • Assist our clients in the development of engineering solutions that address site-specific requirements and ensure structural integrity.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (including architects, contractors, and clients) to gather requirements and ensure project objectives are met.
    • Clearly communicate technical concepts, solutions, and project updates to diverse audiences in a professional and concise manner.
    • Participating in the planning and execution of engineering projects, adhering to timelines and budgetary constraints.
    • Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
    • Supporting the implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
    • Keeping up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and relevant regulations.
    • Participating in training programs, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
    • Sound understanding of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering principles and fundamentals.
    • Prior experience in structural engineering through internships, co-op programs, or relevant entry-level positions is desirable.
    • Familiarity with temporary works and site-based engineering is advantageous.
    • Knowledge of engineering software tools (e.g., FEA) and applications relevant to the industry.
    • Proficiency in CAD. Experience with BIM tools (e.g., Revit) is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical engineering solutions.
    • Strong attention to detail and presentation.
    • Ability to work with precision.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and changing work environment.
    • Commitment to upholding professional ethics and standards.
    • Graduate Membership to IStructE or ICE and willingness to advance to a Chartered level is advantageous.
