Current Employee - Management in Carpinteria, CA

I have been working at full-time (more than 5 years)

They are in sunny California and if you were hired before 2012 you made good money, hourly and salary. Also, the campus is nice and clean, modern. Some fun smart people here and there. I've always loved the Holiday party too.

I hate to admit this but's prime has came and went and all of us know it. They will sail forward for a little longer before they will have to do another round of mass layoffs and reorganization to compete with the YouTube's of the world with their free content and multiple other free services that have actual industry experts. Lynda's model is a 2000s design and it won't work much longer and a massive reorganization is soon to come.

I liked it here before they turned into a corporate wanna be Microsoft company. It's sad. I'd suggest doing your research but to be honest just stay away from this place, look to Khan Academy, YouTube startups, Creative Live, Desire2learn, Blackboard or Universities who are starting their own elearning departments. is the beloved 2012 Prom Queen who showed up to the 2013 dance, arrogant and flashy because she was too busy worrying about her designer dress and forgot about what really matters, SHOWING UP & CHARACTER.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wow. I'll just say that my close experience with the other HR, Sales and Production department managers has mostly been me witnessing them belittle and disrespect employees with zero compassion or respect for the employees' ideas and decisions. You will never be given a pat on the back from them, it's a weakness in the culture to praise employees. I'm ashamed to be of their rankings. I'll soon be gone.

After reading all these Glassdoor reviews for and seeing that EVERY review had nothing good to say about management I took it upon myself to research a handful of managers in these departments above and it's frightening how little experience these men and women have outside of Look for yourself, it's clear as day with a quick LinkedIn search. Not sure how the higher ups have never seen this or care to notice. I believe this is the #1 reason the management is so disrespectful and rude to their employees, out of fear that someone realizes what jokers they are.
