With the mission to re-energize American Manufacturing, Lux Precision Manufacturing is the fastest growing machine shop in the greater Phoenix Area. With a brand-new facility 10,000 sqft facility uniquely located on Grand Canyon Universities Campus, Lux is a AS9100D/ ISO9001 shop creating parts for the Aerospace, Defense, Medical, and Semiconductor industry. While creating parts for industry, Lux also partners with GCU to help develop the next generation of machinists/ manufacturing professionals.
Job Summary:
As a Senior CNC Programmer at Lux Precision Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing computer numerical control (CNC) programs using to maximize efficiency in manufacturing precision components. You will play a critical role in driving innovation and will have an opportunity to make an impact in a rapidly growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development: Design and write advanced CNC programs/ toolpaths for a variety of machines including 3 axis, 4 axis and 5 axis CNC Mills. Lux primarily has Haas mills (VF2SS/ UMC500ss).
Editing G code and Post Processers: Proficient in editing G-code manually and creating custom post-processors for CAM programs to ensure optimal machine performance and accuracy.
Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve existing CNC programs for efficiency and quality improvements.
Machine Setup: Assist in setting up CNC machines, including selecting the appropriate tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
Materials: Lux works machines a diverse range of materials including: Aluminum, steels, stainless steels, Brass & Coppers, titanium, nickels and much more.
Troubleshooting: Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving machining problems.
Collaboration: Work with engineers and machinists to optimize part designs for manufacturability.
Training: Mentor junior CNC programmers and operators.
Research & Development: Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies to drive innovation within the company.
