Job Responsibilities:

• MUST HAVE TOTAL CARE EXPERENCE!!
• Total care assistance with all personal care, to include bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming and feeding. Client will receive a bed bath.
• DRESSING: Full assistance with getting dressed. He will try to assist you by attempting to put his arms and neck in the correct holes and pulling up his pants.
• TOILETING: Client is in diapers 24/7, so we will need to routinely keep him changed and dry. Check him every two hours and change as needed.
• Grooming: Will needs additional assistance with shaving, brushing teeth and brushing hair.
• EATING/FEEDING: Provide assistance with feeding him.
• TRANSFERRING: Client cannot walk or ambulate independently as. He has a wheelchair, waist belt and “Sarah Stedy” chair to aid with transfers. He cannot provide much assistance or pivot very well but is trying.
• HOUSEKEEPING: Please keep bed linens changed and laundry going. It is the caregiver’s responsibility to keep all the areas that the client spends time in clean and tidy (bedroom, chair in living room, bathroom).
• COMMUNICATION: Due to the stroke, his speech is jumbled, but he is attempting to communicate. He has an iPad type device called a “Linguistic” that he can use to basically speak for him and communicate his needs. He is not a fan of it just yet, but maybe with a little more practice he will begin to use it more. The stroke has also affected his vision as far as his depth perception and peripheral vision. The best way to communicate with him is to stand directly in front of him so that he can see and hear you clearly..

Job Requirements:

• One year of experience in senior care providing total care (can not be family)
• MUST BE A CNA or HHA
• Reliable transportation and valid car insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
