    Pros

    The gym environment allows for a stress-free atmosphere and really encourages team work amongst the different departments. You also get to meet plenty of different and interesting people on the day-to-day basis.

    Cons

    There have been times that I have seen people be promoted into management positions when they are not yet ready, that basically set them up for failure (in my opinion).

    Advice to Management

    Communication is key, you must have open communication with your assistant department heads and the front line team members

    I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at 24 Hour Fitness in April 2015.

    Interview

    I was initially contacted via internal recruiter (45 minute pre-screen), who set up a panel interview with two club managers and a field HR manager. The field HR manager left mid-session(returned just prior to closing the session) and I was left with the club managers. It should have been apparent to me at that time that I was not really being considered for the position, and that they had made up their mind already. Even though I have quite a bit of experience in managing and leading people, I understand it may not have been a right fit. Despite this, I do not think I was given a fair opportunity.
    While I understand the need to have top performers/hi-potential peers in the interview process, I believe that in this case those same folks leading the interview may be inclined to protect their roles in the organization(or at least it opens that possibility).
