It was a good part time job for a high school student. If your co-workers are nice it's a great environment. You learn how to deal with different people, as each customer has different personalities and attitude. It was ok.

Horrible pay for so much work. They expect you to do so much and only pay you minimum wage. The manager was sooo rude. Always had a problem with everything, also very sarcastic. Being a manager isn't just fit for him.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at A&P (Mahwah, NJ) in January 2015.

Brief, lacking informative content and incomplete. Interviewer was well versed in deflecting and referring decisions as being made "in Montvale". Among the worst interviews I've ever experienced. No value for time except that the interviewer had "other things to do". Had I not spoken with several employees prior to the interview I might have looked elsewhere.

Once one of the biggest baggers of groceries in the US, The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) has been reduced to a shrinking handful of regional grocery chains. It now runs some 300 supermarkets in seven eastern states and the District of Columbia. In addition to its mainstay 90-store A&P chain, the grocer operates several others, including the The Food Emporium, Waldbaum, and Food Basics chains in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. A&P acquired its longtime rival in the Northeast, Pathmark Stores, for about $1.4 billion in 2007, but the ... More
