AIT Worldwide Logistics has changed a lot since the company was founded in 1979. Today we are among the top five transportation providers in the industry.

We serve more customers in more markets around the world than ever before. Our scale is global. Our strengths are local – that is, getting goods into local markets from around the world and with a personal touch. We offer an increasing array of services that respond to our customers’ needs. We have invested millions of dollars in creating innovative, proprietary technology that is the backbone of our operations and product development.

In spite of our consistent growth and this ongoing transformation, AIT has stayed true to its roots as a family-run business. Every customer counts. Every employee is valued. Every community in which we live and do business is a place where we can contribute.
AIT people and the skills, talent and expertise they embody represent our greatest strengths and our most valuable assets. Our ability to serve our customers and deliver against our business priorities depends entirely on our people. They are the heart and soul of this company.

When you work for and with AIT, you are part of the family. Many shared values define the culture of this company -- teamwork, respect, integrity, innovation, commitment, and passion. These are strengths we bring to our work and that we share with our customers and our partners.

We seek to enable all employees to excel in their work through training, education and opportunity. Through a dedicated corporate development team, every new AIT employee is given the opportunity to learn or build on the necessary skills to succeed in their position. We are committed to helping our people grow and thrive in their work. State of the art technology and dedicated trainers help us introduce new programs and resources to enhance skills-building across the company.

Employees are empowered to take charge of their careers in AIT – there are no limits when it comes to job opportunity and movement. We believe in promoting from within the organization and providing our employees with every opportunity to succeed. Our people are rewarded with competitive pay and benefits, learning opportunities, leadership development and recognition. Through our Diamond Award Program, for instance, employees are recognized for their contributions to the business. Their success is celebrated annually.

Employee benefits include: Medical, dental, flexible spending accounts, 401K, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, paid vacation and company holidays.

Diversity: Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plan

It is the policy of AIT Worldwide Logistics to not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment, and to take affirmative action to employ and to advance in employment all persons regardless of their status, and to base all employment decisions only on valid job requirements.

This policy applies to all employment actions, including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, upgrading, promotion, transfer, demotion, layoff, recall, termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation and selection for training, including apprenticeship, at all levels of employment.

Employees of and applicants to AIT will not be subject to harassment, intimidation, threats, coercion, or discrimination because they have engaged or may engage in filing a complaint, assisting in a review, investigation, or hearing or have otherwise sought to obtain their legal rights related to any federal, state, or local law regarding EEO for minorities, females, qualified individuals with disabilities, or qualified protected veterans.

AIT is committed to the principles of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity. In order to ensure dissemination and implementation of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action throughout all levels of the company, the Director of Human Resources has been appointed as the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Director for AIT. One of the EEO Director's duties will be to establish and maintain an internal audit and reporting system to allow for effective measurement of our company's programs.

To uphold our company’s policy regarding Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity, AIT has developed a written Affirmative Action Program which sets forth the policies, practices and procedures which AIT is committed to applying in order to ensure that its policy of non-discrimination and affirmative action is accomplished. This Affirmative Action Program is available for inspection by any employee or applicant for employment upon request, during normal business hours, in the Human Resources Department.

In Our Own Words

AIT prides itself on being a great place to work. We aspire to keeping all employees happy, challenged and satisfied. But don’t just take our word for it. Read what employees say – in their own words:

“AIT is a friendly environment to work where each and every employee is considered an extension of AIT's immediate family. It is a company that considers every employee to be a valuable ingredient for success.”
- Sheri Stover, Vice President of Administration

“AIT’s culture gives you the structure to run the business efficiently while giving us the autonomy to be creative in the marketplace. It is a culture of family values brought into business principles.”
- Kevin Latham, Station Manager - Memphis

“AIT has the heart of a small business with the scope and scale of a larger firm. In a practical sense, this translates into opportunities for employees to use creative and innovative thinking while affording them with the resources to make that thinking reality. This culture and approach is unique and, arguably, an integral component of the continued success of the organization.”
- Joe Van Der Bosch, Manager of Claims

“A core part of AIT’s culture is ‘going the extra mile,’ for our customers and our people. That helps us build strong relationships and spur innovation. Change is our constant, so we are a dynamic organization that adapts rapidly to our customers needs and an ever-changing marketplace. Being nimble requires constant evolution of our roles and responsibilities. One day is rarely the same as the next.”
- Chris McMillin, Manager of Application Development
