“Masterful Leadership is one of the BEST treasures that has ever come into my life, my career, my spirit and soul. Timely, for sure. Challenging, to the max! And life altering, definitely to the max!”

Re: Flexible work arrangements
“I came back to ATB after almost two years at home with my kids, and because of technology, I am able to have a three-day schedule in the office, allowing me to spend time with my girls while on-call Monday and Friday. This job gives me the best of both worlds, and leaves me fully engaged in every role I play at home, and at ATB.”
~ Megan Despanque
Re: Our awards for top team members
“My Market VP, manager and boyfriend collaborated to throw me a surprise party to announce I was a President’s League winner. It was so special because I knew the celebration was made just for me—especially the tiara, pink slippers and princess theme!”
~ Azi Sadighi
Re: Our commitment to Albertan communities
“One of the most fun times I had giving back with ATB was for Easter Seals, decorating their camp lodge for Halloween and the Christmas holidays. Knowing our efforts created an enjoyable environment in which attendees could be themselves without being stereotyped or judged, was so rewarding.”
~ Daniel Leung

Getting an Interview
Getting an Interview
Helpful (1)No OfferNeutral ExperienceDifficult Interview
The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at ATB Financial.
Pre-screen interview, In-person interview with manager, then In-person interview with manager, director, and co-worker. I had to provide references and do a written test. Pros: Fast to get back to me about next steps via email (no phone tag) Cons: Location of interviews was way out by the Airport, quite a time investment given I had to be there multiple times. The thing that really irritated me was that after 3 interviews someone who wasn't involved in the hiring process called me to say "they would not be continuing with my application." And she had no information on why. At the very least they owe me a brief explanation e.g. they want more years experience, more knowledge on banking industry, whatever! Any decent employer owes a candidate that much after that far down the interview process
- Fairly standard questions about the role, but then they asked some bizarre questions about my knowledge of ATB. For example: "Because you're a researcher, can you tell me who the VP of our investor relations department is?" Clearly I had no idea. Even if I had googled their org chart or stalked them on LinkedIn that would not be something I would remember. If I had to guess it was my lack of knowledge on the company that didn't get me the job. I did not realize they would be so extreme about it though. No one would know that level of detail unless they were an internal applicant. They also included a written knowledge test, which I found easy, but I suppose could be a hurdle if you weren't knowledgeable about research methodology and statistics. Answer Question
