I have been working at Ability Beyond Disability

    Pros

I don't have to sit in an office for 8 straight hours, I get to work with many different people to help them find jobs. My boss is very nice and helpful and co-workers are all very friendly and easy to work with.

    Cons

It seemed like a lot of the topics during the two week training weren't applicable to my job. Doing online job applications over and over can get a bit tedious. The pay isn't great just because it's a non-profit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more days of hands-on training doing things that are actually relevant to the job. An employment specialist doesn't need to know how to move people in a lift or feed them if they have special diets and I would have benefited from more shadowing of other people with the same job.
