I have been working at Acclaim Technical Serivces full-time (Less than a year)
ATS is a dynamic, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company that genuinely cares about its personnel. This means a lot of things are done differently here -- annual paid time off is issued to you after 90 days on the job, not accrued paycheck-to-paycheck; you are fully vested in the 401k as soon as you are eligible, again after 90 days. I can't think of another employee owned company in this sector. ATS has retained a healthy focus on its core business areas rather than pursuing random opportunities where it lacks expertise.
The most common criticism leveled at ATS by competitors is that the company lacks experience as a Prime Contractor, preferring instead to play the subcontractor role. ( I expect this is changing, but also note that where ATS has been a subcontractor, it has been an effective and trusted one -- generally emerging as the largest subcontractor on programs it has supported).

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Acclaim Technical Serivces (Reston, VA) in August 2011.
The interview process was very professional. An ATS Recruiter first emailed me after seeing my resume on a job search engine. He set up an initial introduction and phone interview. I spoke to him directly and he was very thorough in explaining exactly what the position entailed and who the company was. He went over his own positive experience at ATS and answered any questions that I had. We then went over my resume and I answered his questions on my current and previous experience. The next step was my phone interview with the Hiring Manager, which was followed up by an in person interview shortly days after. During this process, I was asked about my previous experience and what my expectations for this position would be. I was asked questions that my have determined if I would fit in with the company. Everything went well with the Hiring Manager. The final step was an interview with the President and CEO of the company. This was a good experience and really proved that this was a company that was really searching for the right candidate. I was offered the position the same day as my final interview. The on-boarding process was as equally as professional as my hiring process. Within a few days, I was sent my offer letter and my benefits package to review. By the first day of work, I was already set up with my computer and blackberry and was ready to begin work.
